MD, an experienced health care manager and an active specialist in the field of general surgery. Since January 1999, he has been the director of the Provincial Specialist Complex of Lung Diseases and Tuberculosis Health Care Centers in Wolica. Earlier, in 1998, he was the director of the Health Department of the Provincial Office in Kalisz. Since 1987, as an active general surgeon, associated, among others, with with the Provincial Integrated Hospital of L. Perzyna in Kalisz. Thanks to the joint efforts of him and his team, it was possible to significantly reform and modernize the hospital in Wolica, significantly improving the quality of health services provided, while taking care of sustainable development and the environment. Winner of numerous awards in this field, including the Ranking of Green Initiatives and the Health Policy Authority. „This man has done the most in Poland for the idea of green hospitals” said Dariusz Jarosz, president of the management board of Politykazdrowotna.com, presenting the statuette.

He served as Joint CEO for General Hospitals of Syros and Naxos Islands, Greece. He is a Member of the Executive Board of Health Care without Harm Europe. He has worked as an environmental consultant since 2002. He currently works as a consultant to health systems and hospitals internationally. He is a frequent public speaker advocating action against climate crisis. The Greek Ministry of Health declared General Hospital of Syros, in 2021, „… a novel, digital Hospital”. The adoption of a Carbon Management Plan, zero paper use in the Hospital, the participation in a multitude of climate friendly initiatives and a set of energy efficiency investments were some of the Hospital’s actions for sustainable healthcare in 2020-2023. General Hospital of Syros has been awarded several international prizes for its environmental awareness. Mr. Zouloufos’ legacy, as a CEO, will be the prioritization of environmental operation, the zero-emissions campaign and the extrovert public policies against climate crisis which earned international acclaim.
